What Style of Yoga is Taught at Sacred Well?

At Sacred Well we teach a blend of the Iyengar and Vinyasa schools of yoga, tailoring the class to the particular level and the need of the students. I consider this approach "Yoga with Intelligence."

Yoga works to open the physical body, the mind, and the spirit. Stress and habits in life can cause us to become constricted in a variety of ways. Yoga is designed to open us to allow our energy and vitality to flow once again.  In my life yoga is not just an exercise system it is also a way of being, that is, a way of growing constantly in my awareness toward fully embodying the Divine so that the Divine presence can flow into all I do.

The body is a wondrous tool for this process as it is also our home. I honor those who choose the path of yoga for it is a path of discipline and courage. Courage to work toward the positive, exploring our edge and taking small steps consistently along the path of growth, discovering who we truly are. One student conveyed this very beautifully to me recently

"I have to say that I believe most students are a direct reflection on their teachers. I've been to yoga classes all over the country, and sampled probably at least 50 different teachers; and you are among the best I've come across. I return to your classes over and over again because you repeatedly express the feelings and behaviors that are important to me: the desire to be free from fear, anger, greed, and ego driven behaviors, to have a strong sense of self and of my place in the world, to be of service to God and others, and to do no harm. I began practicing yoga to get some exercise. What I've found is a way of life to help me become who I want to be. Thanks so much for being a part of the process!"

Private Sessions With Frances Stahnke

In my private sessions we can work on your yoga practice and/or your body. After taking a break from bodywork for four years I am taking my hands out of retirement and back to active duty.

My yoga teacher Glenn Black teaches a form of bodywork called Bodytuning, I have trained with him and continue to learn more and more from him. With this technique and 20 years of experience in massage, I hope to help in  facilitating healing, balancing and opening for the body and hence the whole being.

Sessions: Yoga only $65 per hour                 Body Work $90 per hour
